Notes:
- From a local review: "The sign said 'sold out' as it did for their first significant tour in 1976. But without the makeup of the fire-spitting theatrics, they were back in Birmingham Friday night, which now has become a two-year tradition. With the arrival of January in comes KISS, and its electric-destructo Rock and Roll... Devoted to having a good time and being among 'old friends,' they told stories about themselves with more than enough expletives about sex and rock and roll" (Birmingham News, 1/19/85).
- From another local review: "KISS may not be the hottest band around, but it qualifies as one of the loudest. The guitars on the opening number, 'Detroit Rock City,' were so loud they left the song a quagmire of sound. Guitarist/lead singer Paul Stanley will never win an award for best vocalist. His weakness as a singer was accentuated by the distorted guitars and muddled bass. The crowd didn't mind... Despite KISS' frenetic pace, many in the crowd lost interest... If the band would drop its theatrics, putting more emphasis on technique, its music would be more substantial" (Montgomery Advertiser, 1/19/85).
