- From a local review: "Screaming fans... loud music... fireworks... a smoke-filled auditorium... a zebra skin on the stage. These are all things you would expect to see at a KISS concert. At KISS's last Animalize concert, held on St. Patrick's Day at Vet's Auditorium, these things were in full view... Even though this concert wasn't sold out the crowd more than made up for it. While the balcony was fairly empty, the floor was so crowded, you had to fight your way through. If you were standing up by the stage, you had a difficult time breathing... The KISS concert was one of the most exciting concerts I have attended. I lost my voice, but that didn't matter because I couldn't hear myself talk anyway. My chest hurt until I reached the outskirts of Des Moines, and after just listening to rock music I was exhausted" (Denise Walters - Chariton Leader, 3/26/85)
