Notes:
- From a local review: "It's hard to take KISS seriously as musicians, though. Their concert at the Civic Center consisted of showboating, with no arena-rock cliché left unstated, and largely undifferentiated chordal guitar squalling. A few songs, like 'Uh! All Night' and 'Tears Are Flowing,' generated some musical excitement with sing-along choruses. But for the most part, the legacy on exhibit Sunday night derived more from P.T. Barnum and Attila the Hun than from Pete Townshend and Jimmy Page. There were flash-pots and fireworks, appealing to the latent pyromaniac in most teenagers. There was bassist Gene Simmons's fire-breathing routine, which actually consisted of him spitting water at a torch that he kept safely distant from his face. There was Simmons's hatchet-shaped bass, rigged to shoot off fireworks like a bazooka.
And, of course, there was plenty of raunch, appealing to the not-so-latent sex fiend in most teenagers, some of whom showered the stage with enough bras and panties to stock a wardrobe. Anyone who went to the Civic Center Sunday night looking for deft, meaningful or inventive rock 'n' roll was definitely in the wrong place. Those who went looking for a highly-amplified approximation of the sack of Rome found themselves in the hands of a fairly engaging, if predictable, bunch of Visigoths who delivered the goods with glee" (Providence Journal, 12/24/85).
